Our Vision: Educating workers to build environments where you want to live and work
The 32BJ Training Fund is a joint labor-management partnership that offers training to eligible participants at no cost. The fund is supported by contributions negotiated between 32BJ SEIU and participating employers. Our mission is to train every participant to grow to the next level. We want to continually raise the standards of our industry by providing 32BJ members with the tools they need to meet the challenges of a changing industry.
At the 32BJ Training Fund everything we do supports that one goal of making it possible for our members to get the education, training, and skills they need to grow in the quickly changing property services industry.
32BJ SEIU
With more than 145,000 members, 32BJ SEIU is the largest union of property service workers in the U.S. 32BJ SEIU is united to raise standards at work and improve conditions in our communities so that one day “working poor” will be a contradiction in terms.
Concentrated mainly in the Northeast – Connecticut, New Jersey, New York, Delaware, Pennsylvania, Maryland, Northern Virginia, and Washington, D.C. – the union’s reach extends to southern Florida and as far west as Montana.
32BJ SEIU members work primarily as janitors, property maintenance workers, doormen, security officers, window cleaners, building engineers, and school and food service workers. Their ranks include railroad and factory workers as well.
Members work for private employers, the public sector, and companies receiving government contracts. They work in office, apartment, and government buildings; airports and shopping malls; public schools, colleges, and universities; stadiums, theaters, museums, and country clubs.
