There is nothing more important to the 32BJ Training Fund than making our classes interesting and ensuring that what is taught can be applied in a real world environment. Our instructors have extensive experience in their industries and the ability to teach essential skills to our members.
Many of our instructors have decades of specialized, hands-on experience relevant to the courses they teach. We also incorporate cutting edge adult education techniques and require our instructors to constantly improve. We subscribe to an adult educational method called VARK, which means our instructors are not only highly knowledgeable in their field, but also highly proficient at conveying that information to members in an effective way.
Our instructors also receive training on how to use educational technology to further develop their teaching skills and enrich the classroom experience. These practices increase the speed and thoroughness with which members are able to absorb the complex material needed to further their careers.
It is not uncommon that experienced and dynamic 32BJ members become our best instructors. Member-instructors can provide critical insight to students directly from their on-the-job experiences.
We’ve highlighted just a few of our instructors who exemplify the qualities we look for at the 32BJ Training Fund.
